1. . . . to which Jesus answers, "Why? What have you heard?" Jesus challenges all the doubts about Himself and demands we believe in who He truly is.
  2. God bestows faith that it should deal not with ordinary things, but with things no human being can master such as death, sin, the world, and Satan.
  3. For those of us who recognize the disciples’ despair in ourselves, Jesus comes with the same word: “Relax, it’s me. Peace be with you.”
  4. What do you do when you doubt? What happens when people or churches who have lead you to faith have betrayed you? What is deconstruction anyway?
  5. Like the Israelites of old, Naomi enters into the Promised Land, but she does so grumbling with bitterness. Is she wrong to blame God? What is God doing?
  6. Miracles, for all their wonder and encouragement, rely on the dazzling of our senses to work. Because miracle-faith produces sensory-faith, it is of a poor quality.
