About Event

Dr. Adam Francisco will teach two continuing education courses sponsored by Concordia Theological Seminary at Fort Wayne in June.  

June 8-10, 2026   Mon - Wed     Immanuel Lutheran, Lincoln, NE     Islam 101    Register

This course examines the history of Islam and analyzes the contours of classical Muslim theology.  Particular attention is given to contemporary developments in Islamic thought and opportunities for Christian witness among Muslim people.

June 15-17, 2026   Mon - Wed    Our Savior Lutheran, Grand Rapids, MI     Apologetics for the 21st Century     Register

Scripture exhorts Christians to be ready to give a reason (an apologia) for the hope we have in Christ Jesus to those who ask (I Peter 3:15).  This class looks at the history of and various methods employed by Christian apologists, past and present, and then focuses on addressing a number of charges made against and challenges posed to the faith today.

Adam Francisco

Adam is Director of Academics and Scholar in Residence at 1517. He earned his DPhil from the University of Oxford in 2006 and served as Professor of History, Dean, and Assistant Provost in the Concordia University System for nearly two decades.
